Oakland University Herbarium Collection (OUHC)

The Oakland University Herbarium collection contains approximately 2000 specimens, made up primarily of vascular plants. A large portion of the specimens in the collection came from an original donation by the Cranbrook Institute of Science to Oakland University, with many other specimens having been contributed by students. Collection dates range from the late 1800's to present, and the geographic range is primarily focused in Lower Michigan with more sparse representation throughout Michigan and the Northeast US.
